Teaser Tuesday

2 February 2010

Apparently the thing with Teaser Tuesdays (hosted by MizB at Should Be Reading) is:

  • Grab your current read.
  • Let the book fall open to a random page.
  • Share with us two (2) ‘teaser’ sentences from that page, somewhere between lines 7 and 12.
  • You also need to share the title of the book that you’re getting your ‘teaser’ from … that way people can have some great book recommendations if they like the teaser you’ve given!
  • Please avoid spoilers!

Just as well I haven’t done this before, actually, since my current read is Dragonspell by Katharine Kerr, otherwise known as ‘exactly the same book it would have been last week’:

They passed the market square, where tiny oil-lamps were flickering into life like the evening stars, then climbed a hill to a neighborhood where enormous houses stood in their compounds behind stucco walls. Although it was hard to see in the lantern light, Rhodry could make out elaborate frescoes painted on every one of them. (p. 103)

    Hi

I’ve only come across one blogger who does Teaser Tuesdays (Welshcake – who teases from her current novel)and I really like this idea, so it’s great to come across another Teaser Tuesday person.

    Great teaser!

    🙂

    Take care

  2. It’s such a simple idea! Although I think it might have been Aimee who I saw do it first, so hat tip! (Is there a hat tip smiley…?)

I hope I’ll keep on doing it, although I’ll need to make sure I actually finish the books by the next week!
