Titles

10 March 2010

An email pings in from The Bookseller. I’m still on one of its mailing lists, for some outdated reason.

Ah, they’re taking votes for the Diagram Prize for oddest title of the year. What Kind of Bean is this Chihuahua? Afterthoughts of a Worm Hunter? Governing Lethal Behaviour in Autonomous Robots?

You can vote too at the bottom of their front page, especially if you want to vote for something that isn’t Crocheting Adventures with Hyperbolic Planes. It or they is or are flying away with it.

And now I’ll go and be dumbfounded at the moral relativism that could lead someone to want to write, read or publish Collectible Spoons of the Third Reich

    Hi

I voted for What kind of bean is a chihuahua! Only because I like beans and cute doggies…!

    🙂

    Take care

And once again, unpublished writers the world over are saying- “Huh? How many times were THOSE books rejected?”

  3. Governing Lethal Behaviour in Autonomous Robots actually sounds quite sensible – that is, once someone else has taken the very non-sensible step of creating potentially lethal autonomous robots in the first place…

    The others, though. Good gosh!
